2011 Race Update
January 6, 2012The 2011 Race was the largest in our history with over to 12,600 participants raising over $1.3 million! Over 26,000 people joined us in Maryland Farms to help raise funds and awareness to end breast cancer forever. Up to seventy-five percent of the net proceeds from the Race remained in the eleven counties that the Greater Nashville Affiliate serves. That’s over $975,000 toward breast cancer treatments, screenings and education in your community! The remaining net income (a minimum of 25%) supports the Komen Research Grant Program, which funds groundbreaking breast cancer research, meritorious awards and educational and scientific programs around the world.
