How to Apply for Funding

Thank you for your interest in the Komen Greater Nashville Affiliate Grants Program. Each year, Komen Greater Nashville funds community-based programs that address barriers and needs related to breast cancer.  Through our grants program we aim to change behaviors and increase access to early detection, quality treatment and support.

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply for a Komen Community Based Grant or a Small Grant, your organization must be:

• A federally tax-exempt entity — nonprofit organization, government agency, educational institution or Indian tribe.
• Located in the specified affiliate service area.
• Provide breast health or breast cancer screening, treatment, education or outreach

Community-Based Grants

To apply for a Community-Based Grant, at least one representative from each organization must attend the MANDATORY Komen Grants Training session scheduled for Wednesday, September 19^th from 9:00am to 1:00pm, Tuesday, September 25^th from 9:00am to 1:00pm (for current grantees only) and Wednesday, October 3^rd from 3:00pm to 6:30pm.  This training will be held at the Komen Greater Nashville office located at: 4009 Hillsboro Pike, Suite 209, Nashville, TN 37215.  Applications from organizations that do not attend this training will not be accepted.  Attendees must RSVP to dmoore@komennashville.org or call 615-383-0017.

Community-Based applications are due to the Komen Greater Nashville Affiliate via the Grants eManagement System (GeMS) by Friday, December 14, 2012 at 5:00pm.

Final Application Deadline: December 14th, 2012 at 5pm NOTE: New GeMS online application required

Award Notification:  March 2013

Award Period:  April 1, 2013 - March 31, 2014
