Go Passionately Pink to help save lives! — Just wear pink, have fun and raise money to fight breast cancer. Be inspired by the multitude of ideas right here, or think of your own. There are so many creative ways to have fun and fight breast cancer.
In 2012-2013, small grant applications must be submitted to the Komen Greater Nashville office by August 15, 2012 or January 15, 2013. If you meet the criteria below and would like to apply for a small grant, please complete and submit the Small Grant Application.
Komen Greater Nashville currently offers small grants of up to $10,000 to support small programs and pilot projects in breast health. Grants are also awarded for conference or symposium organization and travel scholarships to meetings and conferences. This new grant program will allow organizations to create innovative programs focusing on breast care and/or breast health.
• Small Project Grant: an innovative project specific in the areas of breast health and/or breast cancer education/outreach, screening, treatment and support services. Maximum $10,000.
• Conference Grant: an event, conference, symposia specific to breast health or to help further the body of knowledge related to research, diagnosis, treatment, education, and/or other issues related to breast cancer. Preference is to partner with other organizations to support local scientific or education conferences. Maximum $2,500
• Travel Grant: travel assistance to attend, participate in, and/or present at a conference or symposia that would increase the community knowledge of breast health and/or breast cancer. Travel Grants are issued as a reimbursement of travel expenses up to the approved dollar amount upon submission of receipts and expense report. Maximum $1,000 for conference in North America and $2,000 for conferences outside North America.
